Blue River Wastewater Treatment Plant Biosolids Improvements Project, which is being delivered as fixed-price design build, replaces the incineration process that had been part of the biosolids handling for Kansas City since the 1980’s with a thermal hydrolysis process (THP) which creates a Class A biosolids. Downing Construction designed and is currently constructing this 60,000 SF design-build project. It features a steel structure, exterior metal stud framing with a brick and Nichiha Façade & Aluminum Storefront Windows. This surgery center will have ten operating rooms and Twenty-Four 23 Hour Stay Rooms.
