NEBRASKA | January Program: Construction Spending/NE Economic Outlook

Program: Construction Spending, Labor and Materials Outlook – Ken will bring his unique national perspective of the economy relating to the Construction Industry and discuss the impact of the recent elections.

Presenter: Ken Simonson, Chief Economist, AGC of America, Arlington,VA. Ken has 45 years of experience analyzing, advocating and communicating about economic and tax issues. He has been providing insight into what is happening to the economy and what it implies for construction and related industries for AGC members since 2001.

Program: Nebraska Economic Outlook – Eric will provide the statewide economic perspective as it relates to development, construction and renovation in vertical construction and related industries. He will also address the impact of the downturn in the agricultural economy and how it may or may not affect the construction industry.

Presenter: Dr. Eric Thompson, W. W. Marshall Associate Professor of Economics and the Director of the Bureau of Business Research at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Eric’s research examines the sources and consequences of state and local economic growth and the economics of infrastructure.
