DESCRIPTION:Eric Smith\, Iowa State University\nProfessor in Supply Chain Management \nEric will lead an interactive discussion focusing on demand management issues related to COVID\, as well as current and projected information regarding commodity supply & pricing. Eric’s past accomplishments include sourcing untapped profit through commodity demand and price integration and reducing warehouse inventory 56% by integrating retail forecasting. This allowed Eric to move from third shift subsidiary warehouse generalist to one of Hy-Vee’s 21 senior officers in 10 years. \nHe retired from Hy-Vee to start a consulting business and own/operate a sustainable dairy goat farm with his family. He is now a full Professor of Practice teaching for the ISU Ivy College of Business. \nBreakfast will be ready at 7:30 am and the presentation will begin promptly at 8:00 am. \n  \n  \n
